We believe that every child has the right to have a family where they can receive the best care and support.
We believe that every child may thrive and develop their best qualities if placed in a loving family.
Our efforts are focused in this direction – to improve the quality of life of the special needs children by identifying a family where they would feel loved and happy.
The procedure for the adoption of the children for whom special measures have been undertaken is shortened and relieved. Both applicants who are already registered and those who are not registered yet may apply for these children.
If an applicant who is not entered in the register of the waiting applicants declares a desire to adopt a certain child from the special needs children list, he/she must submit an application specifying the characteristics of the child he/she is applying for. This application is reviewed immediately at the next session of the Intercountry Adoptions Council and once approved the applicant has 6 months to prepare all documents necessary for the adoption in order to be entered in the register of foreign adoptive applicants kept by the Ministry of Justice. Once entered in the register, the Intercountry Adoptions Council makes an official referral for the specific child and launches the adoption procedure described in our website (see Adoption Procedure, Receiving a Proposal).
If an applicant entered in the register of waiting adoptive applicants wants to adopt a certain child from the special needs children, he/she must submit only an application accompanied by recommendation of the foreign specialist that work upon his/her case. This application is reviewed immediately on the next session at the Ministry of Justice and once approved the adoption procedure described in our website (see Adoption Procedure, Receiving a Proposal) is launched.
